Prior to digitisation, procurement and communication around projects were handled via email and community directories. There were also problems keeping track of communications and updates as everything was spread out over multiple emails, folders and similar. The lack of centralization of information made it difficult to ensure that all relevant parties had access to the necessary information at the same time.

“Before we got this solution, we did it by mail. That solution meant that we often got into a clinch with Outlook or mail, since you can't send such large data. Then you have to do a lot of work-arounds, either through WeTransfer apps or similar in order to be able to attach these files.
Having a tender portal at Byggeprojekt.dk is a huge advantage, because there you can upload and send out links.”

“The biggest positive feature you have is that you can document everything. You can document that the performers receive their stuff and they get it on time, and that there are no disputes about it. It is important to have this function, not least to be able to comply with schedules. But also that we can document when they have had the material available, and to be able to start calculating offers. Intuitively, this is my favorite.”

“It's the documentation and that we have it all in one place, instead of sending emails around with the material to be offered. We can see if they've been in and picked up the material, whether they've got it, read it and opened it and so on. It's very valuable to me to know if they've been told these things.”
